Elizabeth Freiheit

Founder - Soprano

Elizabeth Freiheit has had musical training in piano, voice, and clarinet. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Early Modern European history from Oberlin College. She loves researching musical history as well as history of costume. She has typeset hundreds of works of music, using original manuscripts from the Renaissance as sources. She has been a member of several large choruses including the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and the UMS Choral Union. She has founded 2 Renaissance singing groups and helped a third group to triple its size within 5 years by providing  leadership, developing organizational structure and demonstrating effective management. Whenever she is not enjoying herself thoroughly in musical pursuits, by day she is a PhD biostatistician, and conducts analyses of clinical trials for new treatments for cancer, hepatic and genetic diseases, and other therapeutic areas.
